About the Role
- Provide actual financial data in compliance with Group Reporting requirements and comply with all local financial regulations and tax reporting requirements
- Provide key business analysis, management reporting, forecasting and budgeting
- Analysis of financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions
- Provide financial counsel and analysis for proposed strategic business growth initiatives & improvement, monitor local operations performance against financial plans and ensure Finance Group is advised on exposure issues
- Ensure effective management of Treasury, Tax, Internal control process and Risk in accordance with Group policies and identify risks and opportunity
- Develop and lead a high performance of Finance Accounting Tax teams
- Developing and maintaining company’s financial policies and procedures
- Support any projects within the Company and Group.
Requirements
At least a first degree in Accounting / Accounting & Finance.
Possessing Accounting Professional Qualification will be an added advantage.
8 - 10 years of validated experience in a Mining or similar dynamic operating environment.
Creative, strong analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence.
Experience in developing teams and various partners.
A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC, SAP or equivalent.
Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls
Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight deadlines.
